Datuk Bazlan bin Osman, 60, a Malaysian, was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) and Chairman of Board Audit Committee of TM on 30 May 2024.

He currently sits on the board of several public listed companies, namely FIMA Corporation Berhad as an Independent Non-Executive Chairman, Senior Independent Director of Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad and INED of Bursa Malaysia Berhad. He was previously an INED of Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad, Glomac Berhad and Citibank Berhad.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He has held positions as President of MIA, Chair of ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee, Ex-Officio of Financial Reporting Foundation, and a member of the Issues Committee of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board.

He was previously an Executive Director of TM from 2008 until he left TM in February 2019. He joined TM in 2005 as Group Chief Financial Officer and was appointed as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer in 2017 and later as Acting Group CEO from June to November 2018. Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer of Celcom Malaysia Berhad.

Throughout his professional career, which was largely in telecommunication sector, Datuk Bazlan has also held audit, accounting and finance positions in a public accounting firm and companies in various industries. He also had attended the IMD Program for Senior Executives in 2008, the Strategic Leadership Program at the University of Oxford's SAID Business School in 2013 and the BNM FIDE ASB Program for Directors of Financial Institutions in 2020.
