TM One Smart Healthcare solutions to enhance digital patient experience at Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care
Malaysia’s first healthcare provider to leverage TM One Smart Patient Suite solution
TM One, the enterprise and government sector solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (“RSDH”) to collaborate on Smart Healthcare and other business solutions for the RSDH group of hospitals.
The MoU was signed by Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President of TM One, and Peter Hong, Group Chief Executive Officer, RSDH.
Aimed at improving patient experience and enabling innovative transformation for essential in-patient services, the collaboration marks the first in Malaysia to leverage TM One’s Smart Patient Suite solution, by harnessing the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide automation and surround control.

TM One is also looking into the co-creation of smart solutions that will offer predictive and preventive intervention, as well as improve monitoring and medication adherence. Wellness wearables, for example, will allow high-risk patients who have received care at medical facilities to transition as outpatients quicker and continue self-monitoring in the comfort of their homes, with healthcare professionals leveraging real-time analytics for patient care administration.
“Technology is reshaping the relationship between patients, healthcare providers, and the healthcare system, enabling us to move towards patient-centric, prevention-focused and outcome-driven healthcare. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), will empower healthcare providers with data and analytics to improve the quality of patient care while maximising operational efficiency,” added Shazurawati.
This two-year collaboration with RSDH follows the launch of TM One’s Sphere Programme, which brings together Malaysia’s leading technology and smart solution partners to create an ecosystem that will help springboard enterprise and government sector innovative transformation. Since its launch in October 2022, the alliance has registered close to 50 partners.

Innovating Malaysia's healthcare through 5G and digital solutions
TM One’s 5G and digital infrastructure reflects its commitment to enable smart hospitals and remote care capabilities TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) recently previewed the innovative future of Malaysia’s healthcare sector, powered by 5G technology and digital solutions. Collaborating with Siemens Healthineers Malaysia, TM One shared its vision at the inaugural 5G in Healthcare Symposium, organised by the Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia (APHM), where they showcased next-level innovations for the healthcare system, made possible by 5G connectivity. This gathering of healthcare providers highlighted the multiple benefits gained from digital transformation in the sector, including enhanced patient care and operational efficiencies, among others. The digitalisation of this essential sector has also proven to be particularly timely and effective in delivering health care during and post pandemic. TM One also showcased a virtual medical consultation solution powered by REMEDi, a digital healthcare technology developer. Through high-speed, low-latency 5G, the solution will provide enhanced video images and sound quality for safer diagnosis of patients and effective troubleshooting. In addition, this solution can be conveniently deployed anywhere, matching the current shift towards online examinations and telemedicine. CONSOLIDATION OF TM’S BUSINESS IN MALAYSIA INTO TM TECH TO STRENGTHEN CONVERGENCE LEADERSHIP AND IMPROVE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
Following the earlier communication on 14 December 2022, Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM”) today announced the internal reorganisation of its business in Malaysia into a single operating entity named TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd (“TM Tech”) following the approval of various bodies, including the High Court of Malaysia and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. Effective today, 1st March 2023, Telekom Malaysia Berhad will serve as an investment holding company for this single operating entity (TM Tech), along with other wholly owned subsidiaries, covering TM’s international, digital, education, support business and other non-wholly owned subsidiaries. This group in totality will continue to be governed by the current TM’s Board of Directors and managed by the same Senior Management team. The reorganisation into TM Tech – which includes Unifi, TM One and TM Global, amongst others – marks the next phase of TM’s transformation that will reinforce its fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) position, further improve operational efficiencies and deliver a more seamless customer experience. Resource-wise, the reorganisation brings together the diverse talents, facilitating greater cross-functional collaboration and agility through more streamlined and simplified processes. Group CEO of TM, Dato’ Imri Mokhtar explained, “As customer demand, increasing competition and stakeholder expectations reshape the industry, it is timely to consolidate our telco business in Malaysia into a single operating entity that will allow us to serve our diverse customer segments better and quicker, as well as drive operational efficiency.” “We have recently notified all of our valued customers on this internal reorganisation via email and digital letters. At this point, for all payment transactions - the beneficiary name will now be “TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd” instead of “Telekom Malaysia Berhad”. All other payment details remain the same, such as the bank account and JomPAY code,” Imri added. “The success of TM to shape a Digital Malaysia through technology that empowers communities, businesses and Government truly lies in our Warga TM. With majority of Warga TM realigned into this single operating entity, the individual job functions, entitlements and benefits will remain unchanged.
