New exclusive through unifi TV: Lionsgate play treats Malaysian viewers with premium content
Starting July until 12th October 2022, all new and existing unifi TV Packs subscribers (Ultimate Pack, Varnam Plus Pack, Aneka Plus Pack and Ruby Plus Pack) can enjoy 90-day access to Lionsgate Play for free when they activate it through https://activate.unifi.com.my/lgp/.
Introduced to Malaysian audiences in October last year, the international streaming platform offers unique blockbuster movies, premium originals, old favourites and binge-worthy TV shows that resonate with urban audiences between the ages of 25 to 45. From action, drama, and romance to thrillers and comedy, Lionsgate Play Malaysia in partnership with unifi TV offers several exclusive premium titles for the whole family.

Movies:
Corrective Measures – a sci-fi movie set in the world's most dangerous maximum-security penitentiary, tensions among inmates and staff heighten, leading to anarchy. The gripping story stars Bruce Willis and Michael Rooker, and is written, produced and directed by Sean O'Reilly based on the graphic novel by Grant Chastain.
Vendetta – when his daughter is brutally murdered, William Duncan takes the law into his own hands. After killing the street thug directly responsible for her death, he finds himself in a war with the thug's brother and his gang, who are equally hell-bent on getting revenge for their fallen member. Another Bruce Willis film, the movie also stars Thomas Jane and Theo Rossi.
Jungle Cry – a riveting sports drama based on the real-life story of Indian rugby coach Rudraksh Jena of Bhubaneswar's Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), who guided a team of 12 rural Odisha boys to a historic victory in the Junior Rugby World Cup in England in 2007. Starring Abhay Deol and Emily Shah, the film is helmed by Sagar Ballary.

TM ONE COLLABORATES WITH PLANMALAYSIA TO ACCELERATE LOCAL SMART CITIES
KUALA LUMPUR, 29 NOVEMBER 2023 – TM One, the enterprise and government sector business solutions arm of TM, has entered into a collaboration with PLANMalaysia to enable local city councils harness smart innovations and create sustainable, efficient, and connected urban communities. The collaboration is the next phase in TM One’s efforts to accelerate the nation’s smart city aspirations and improve urban living across the country. As part of this collaboration, 29 local councils that were awarded as part of the Malaysia Smart City Recognition Programme during World Town Planning Day 2023, will have access to TM One’s Proof of Concept trials (POCs). Spanning a selection from TM One’s smart services suite, the POCs allow councils to test solutions suited to their localities, enabling them to make empowered decisions in their smart city development efforts. Shazurawati Abd Karim, TM One’s Executive Vice President said, “TM One has always been at the forefront of enabling the country’s smart city initiatives, helping councils nationwide push the boundaries of urban living through smart innovations. Among our recent success stories were Smart City projects in Ipoh, Pengerang, Seberang Prai, Kulai, Port Dickson and Subang Jaya, which experienced reduced time in traffic, lower carbon emissions, and improved response efficiency through solutions such as TM One’s Smart Traffic Management and Smart Surveillance.” Building on these successes, TM One will be offering POCs for the following services: 1. Unified Enforcement System – automation and insight analysis of various local council operation enforcement services that help local councils manage larger communities better; 2. TM wins again at Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2021 for its innovation, patrol
This is the fourth award received by TM at Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards in three years running Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its innovation arm, TM Research & Development (TM R&D) wins the AI – Telecommunications Award at the recent Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards 2021, presented by Singapore Business Review. The award was conferred in recognition of the Company's achievement in developing PATROL as a proof of function for research particularly on automatic detection of construction using vehicle dashcam and generate proactive alerts using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms. This is the fourth award received by TM R&D from the Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards in its three years of running. The awards ceremony lauds exceptional companies that have successfully pioneered IT products, solutions and innovative technology projects in their respective industries to boost Malaysia's fast-growing economy. Commenting on the accomplishment, Dr. Sharlene Thiagarajah, Chief Executive Officer, TM R&D said, "This is indeed a proud moment for us. Winning the award is a huge boost for our effort in showcasing how AI can be applied to solve real-life problems. Project PATROL was developed to provide early warning alerts on areas where TM infrastructure has a high risk of being destroyed due to civil and construction works by a third party. Ideally, before the civil or construction works were to begin, TM and other utility companies are to be consulted to ensure proper precautionary measures are taken to avoid telecommunication cable or other utility infrastructure cuts such as water or sewerage. The cable cuts will lead to loss of broadband and other telecommunication services which will cause major inconveniences to consumer lifestyle and businesses, as well as operation nightmare for any telcos. To fill in those gaps, PATROL was developed powered by digital and AI capabilities. PATROL leverages AI, object detection capabilities and the Internet of Things (IoT) to detect a construction area using a dashcam. The system then automatically checks if the unregistered civil and construction activity is in close proximity to underground or overhead cable infrastructure. Several parameters are used to assess risk before an alert is sent to the Network Operations Centre for investigation. "PATROL provides real-time alerts on civil and construction activities that pose a high risk to the security and safety of TM's cable infrastructure. This information allows telco providers to act fast in preventing possible threats to their assets. With PATROL, we foresee a huge opportunity for operational cost avoidance due to cable cut cases," she further added.
