UNIFI TV OFFERS FREE VIEWING OF OLYMPIC GAMES PARIS 2024 ON 17 CHANNELS VIA UNIFI TV APP
KUALA LUMPUR, 16 JULY 2024 – Unifi TV, Malaysia’s largest platform for premier channels and streaming apps, has been named an official broadcaster for the highly anticipated Olympic Games Paris 2024. Making the Games accessible to all Malaysians wherever they are, Unifi TV will offer viewing access starting 24 July to 12 August 2024 through its Unifi TV app.
With 17 HD channels dedicated to cover all 32 sports and 329 events, everyone including non-Unifi customers can download and register for the complimentary service via the Unifi TV app from various app stores across all smart devices. Existing and new subscribers will enjoy live broadcasts, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes access to their favourite games and athletes with no new or additional charges.
Further demonstrating support for the Malaysian contingent, Unifi TV has also launched the hashtag #SemangatTakTerbatas which will be extended across Unifi’s official social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & YouTube.

This collaboration between TM and the Government demonstrates the shared commitment to deliver digital inclusivity throughout Malaysia. Underserved communities often experience adversity in accessing the benefits of the digital world and uninterrupted connectivity. Students from low-income households, for example, face challenges in accessing online learning platforms, while job seekers may struggle to find employment opportunities or even in starting up small e-Commerce businesses to support their livelihoods. Additionally, a lack of access to digital services and information can limit options for essential services, such as healthcare and Government services. Via this offering, TM seeks to bridge the digital divide through hyperconnectivity and empower these communities with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in the digital age. “As a conscientious corporate entity, TM has a social responsibility to create a meaningful impact on the community. Unifi’s fixed broadband services will be available at a more affordable rate, ensuring that more Malaysians have access to reliable internet connectivity. Registration is open until 31 December 2023 for all eligible subscribers, but will be limited to only one (1) package per person. Earlier in March, TM also announced Pakej Perpaduan Prabayar Mudah Alih (Prepaid Mobile) and together, these services will enable ubiquitous connectivity and reinforces TM’s fixed-mobile convergence leadership, offering integrated fixed broadband, mobile services, and digital content to more Malaysians. DNB, TM and ZTE Collaborate On World's First and Fastest 28Gbps 5G mmWave on Standalone 5G Core
CYBERJAYA, 17 October 2023 – Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB), TM and ZTE Corporation (ZTE) have formed a strategic alliance to unveil the world’s fastest 5G live trial which will deliver remarkable speeds up to 28Gbps. This revolutionary technology will reshape Malaysia’s digital landscape and set a new global standard in wireless communication. An expansion of DNB’s commitment to drive 5G capabilities for the country, the partnership will leverage TM’s established network infrastructure and digital expertise, as well as ZTE’s state-of-the-art mmWave active antenna unit and cutting-edge chipset technology to deliver Malaysia's first standalone 5G core, complemented by an adaptable next generation transport network. This milestone solidifies Malaysia’s position as a frontrunner in mmWave technology, elevating industry digitalisation and consumer experiences to unprecedented levels. TM Named Official Partner of the National Sepak Takraw Team, Reaffirming Commitment to Malaysia’s Sports Development
KUALA LUMPUR, 5 May 2025 – Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM” or “the Group”) has been officially announced as the Official Partner of the National Sepak Takraw Team, in a partnership with Persatuan SepakTakraw Malaysia (PSM). This strategic collaboration reinforces TM’s commitment to nation-building and Malaysia’s sports development. The partnership was formalised recently in a document exchange ceremony held at Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, attended by Dato’ Mohd Sumali Reduan, President of PSM, and Nor Fadhilah Mohd Ali, Chief Corporate Officer of TM. Through this two-year collaboration, TM will play a key role in advancing Malaysia’s sports development agenda by supporting the National Sepak Takraw Team’s participation in major regional and international tournaments, including the Asia Cup 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, the SEA Games 2025 in Bangkok, and the ISTAF World Cup 2026.
