TM One Hyperconnected Ecosystem provides end-to-end digital solutions that enables Education 4.0 for Malaysian higher learning institution
TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today inked a service agreement with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) for the provision of new high speed capacity for internet connectivity via TM One Direct Internet Access and Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IPVPN), a dedicated premium network service.
The agreement was signed by Ahmad Taufek Omar, Executive Vice President/Chief Executive Officer, TM One and Mohd Yazid Abd Manaf, State General Manager, TM Terengganu while UniSZA was represented by Prof Dato’ Dr Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan, Vice Chancellor, UniSZA and Ismail Ahmad, Registrar, UniSZA. Tuan Haji Rosli Man, Chairman of TM also was also present at the event to witness the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, TM One will provide new high speed capacity to UniSZA with dedicated and seamless connectivity at UniSZA campus in Gong Badak, Tembila campus in Besut and its Medical Campus in Kuala Terengganu. The enhanced connectivity will provide the university with faster access hence enriching the Internet experience for the campus community consisting of more than 13,000 students. The upgrade is part of UniSZA’s digital transformation journey towards embracing the Industry 4.0 revolution and further improving the university’s operational efficiencies.
Commenting on the latest collaboration, Tuan Haji Rosli said, “TM One, is proud and excited to be the enabler of Hyperconnected Ecosystem for UniSZA’s digital transformation journey towards Education 4.0 in preparing the next generation of workforce for the nation. We will continue to play an active role in nation building particularly in the education sector as well as realising Malaysia's digital aspiration through our vast network connectivity and solid infrastructure.”
The higher capacity will connect UniSZA main campus in Gong Badak with its other campuses namely Tembila campus in Besut and its Medical Campus in Kuala Terengganu via TM One’s IPVPN service. This will further improve the university’s productivity and enable its campus community to access education related applications that are creative and innovative in a faster and more organised manner. With the enhanced connectivity, the campus administrators, academicians as well as students of UniSZA will also be able to connect with the other campuses faster and more efficiently.

TM collaborates with Bintang Urusjuta for the first digital home in Melaka
Taman Anjung Gapam becomes the first digital home in Melaka with move-in ready unifi and digital home services Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its enterprise and public sector business solutions arm, TM ONE and a local property developer, Bintang Urusjuta (M) Sdn Bhd today launched their first Digital Home project in Melaka at Taman Anjung Gapam. The development is the first housing project in Melaka that is ready with various digital home solutions. TM reports operational improvement for 3Q 2019 amidst challenging environment
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today announced its financial results for the quarter ended 30 September 2019. Financial and Operational Highlights as at Year-to-Date (YTD) September 2019 vs YTD September 2018: Group Revenue of RM8.40 billion, 3.8% lower against YTD September 2018 – in line with guidance- mainly due to lower contribution from all lines of products except data and non-telecommunication related services. Group Reported Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) for YTD September 2019 increased to RM1.20 billion, from Loss Before Interest and Tax (LBIT) of RM187.3 million over the corresponding nine (9) months period last year, on the back of lower operating cost, from the Group's various cost optimisation initiatives. Group Reported Profit After Tax and Non-controlling Interests (PATAMI) showed significant improvement with a 718.9% growth YTD to RM683.8 million, from RM83.5 million in the corresponding period last year. Stripping off non-operational items, Normalised PATAMI stood at RM810.9 million, higher by 53.7% against the same period last year. The total capital expenditure (CAPEX) was within guidance at 8.8% of revenue or RM736.0 million. Out of the amount spent, 16% was made for Core Network, 58% for Access and the balance 26% was made for Support System. unifi updates: Increased YTD convergence penetration to 55% of TM Households compared to 48% in 30 September 2018. Total broadband customers as at 30 September 2019 was more than 2.15 million. #khabarbaik customer experience related initiatives in 3Q2019: Streamlined all Streamyx packages to a new unifi Lite plan at RM69/month for existing Streamyx customers. Introduced unifi Air to elevate the internet experience of existing Streamyx customers residing in TM's LTE coverage areas. Launched an all-in-one app; myunifi for an easy experience in managing unifi account. TM One Smart City Summit 2022: accelerating the transformation of townships into smart cities through partnership with local authorities
Themed ‘Solutions Built for Citizens’, TM ONE City LEAP Summit is TM’s initiative to support the Ministry of Housing and Local Government's (KPKT) aspirations in strengthening the ‘Liveable Malaysia’ agenda TM ONE, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) recently hosted the City LEAP Summit 2022, with the aim of boosting smart city execution by local city and municipal councils (PBT). The two-day event, held in Genting Highlands, was the second time the summit was organised, and was attended by a total of 60 participants from 26 PBTs nationwide. Held under the theme of ‘Solutions Built for Citizens’, the summit, which focuses on sustainability and improving the quality of life for citizens, constitutes one of TM ONE’s initiatives to take Malaysia’s Smart City transformation forward by supporting the Ministry of Housing and Local Government's (KPKT) aspirations for a “Liveable Malaysia”. Lined up were curated programmes, aimed at empowering collaboration amongst local authorities to adopt new global trends and accelerate the implementation of smart cities in their respective localities. This event builds on the first City LEAP Summit in 2020, held in Langkawi, prior to the COVID-19 Movement Control Order (MCO). The inaugural event, among others, featured demonstrations of 11 Smart Services use cases on the island managed live from the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC). The 2022 summit was attended by Kamaruzaman Umar, Deputy Secretary General of KPKT who represented YB Dato' Sri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, the Minister of Housing and Local Government, together with several key representatives from the ministry and government bodies including the State Secretary’s Offices (SUK) and State Economic Planning Units (UPEN) from various states.
