KUALA LUMPUR, 22 March 2024 – TM, through its social foundation arm, Yayasan TM (YTM),
announces the continuation of its ‘Program Cahaya Ramadan’. This year, the programme
allocates RM320,000 to aid approximately 3,000 beneficiaries across Malaysia, including asnaf,
orphans, B40 families, single mothers, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), tahfiz students, and the
Orang Asli community.
The initiative, mobilised through our state offices nationwide, focuses on distributing food
baskets and raya essential items such as baju raya and duit raya (cash) to the identified
beneficiaries during Ramadan.
Ainol Shaharina Sahar, Director of Yayasan TM said, “It is our honour to once again initiate the
‘Program Cahaya Ramadan’, extending our hand in solidarity to those in need during this
reflective and benevolent time of year. Our goal is to alleviate the hardships of our beneficiaries,
ensuring they too can share in the joy and togetherness that Ramadan brings. We aim to foster
a sense of community and hope, particularly among children, as they observe the sacred month
and look forward to Eid ul-Fitr celebrations.”
In addition to these efforts, YTM is launching the ‘Dana Kasih Yayasan TM’ fundraising
campaign, aiming to raise RM30,000 to specifically assist Orang Asli families in Pos Kuala Mu,
Sungai Siput, Perak. This campaign focuses on gathering funds to provide these families with
essential food supplies for Ramadan, aiming to ensure they have the resources needed for a
fulfilling festive period. The public is encouraged to support this noble cause by making donations

In 2023, YTM’s ‘Program Cahaya Ramadan’ has benefitted more than 3,000 beneficiaries

YB Fahmi Fadzil.
As the programme continues to grow and reach more communities, YTM remains dedicated to

Unifi TV kickstarts 2023 offerings with addition of popular beIN SPORTS 2, Moonbug Kids and one premium channels

TM Inks MOU With ZTE For R&D Innovation Under Latest Strategic Partnership Programme
TM, Malaysia’s leading converged telco and technology company, has today entered into a MoU with ZTE Malaysia Corporation Sdn Bhd (ZTE), a global leader in information and communication technology solutions, to collaborate on a range of research and development innovations under its latest strategic partnership programme. The partnership will leverage TM and ZTE’s joint expertise to drive innovation and digital transformation for customers and industries, focusing on R&D opportunities and commercialisation, product and technology improvement, and the enhancement of TM’s digital talent ecosystem. The collaboration will also serve as an important step towards strengthening the nation’s digital and telco infrastructure, and empower Malaysia’s competitive edge in delivering cutting-edge solutions to the marketplace. Slated to run for a period of three years, the MoU was presided over by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Minister for Communications and Digital; YB Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital; Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Bin Fateh Din, Chairman; and Dato’ Mohd Ali Hanafiah Mohd Yunus, Chief Operating Officer for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission respectively. TM calls on members of the public to donate pre-loved devices to the MYBAIKHATI campaign
Three (3) TMpoint outlets in Klang Valley now ready to accept device donations for B40 families Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is supporting MYBAIKHATI, an industry-wide device crowdsourcing initiative aimed to collect and repair used communication devices to be distributed to low income families (B40). TM has set up three (3) of its TMpoint outlets in the Klang Valley as collection points to facilitate the donation drive. The outlets are TM Experience Centre (TMEC) at Menara TM, Bangsar; TMpoint Cyberjaya and TMpoint Shah Alam. The collection points will be progressively expanded nationwide in the near future. Commenting on TM Group's participation, Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM said: "Everyone should have access to digital devices, especially in these times. The MYBAIKHATI campaign aims to provide the B40 community with usable smart devices for digital learning, work and business, so they have the means to weather through this unprecedented period. TM calls for all Malaysians and members of the public, be it individuals or companies to donate their used devices. TM will repair and refurbish devices that meet the terms and conditions with an allocation of up to RM500 for each device. The refurbished devices will then be distributed to eligible families in the B40 segment, through an appointed Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), or through other various channels including selected "Pusat Internet Komuniti" (PIKs) nationwide. The donated devices that do not meet the requirements of the initiative will be responsibly recycled via the existing e-Waste programme.
