TM One and UMW sign Memorandum of Intent to embark on co-development of digital solutions for industries in Malaysia
TM One, the business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and UMW Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (UMW) today signed a Memorandum of Intent (MoI) on a strategic partnership to develop digital solutions aimed at enhancing and empowering Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) requirements for industries in Malaysia, making it more productive, agile and future-ready.
The MoI was signed by Badrul Feisal bin Abdul Rahim, President & Group Chief Executive Officer, UMW Holdings Berhad on behalf of UMW Corporation Sdn. Bhd. and Dato' Noor Kamarul Anuar bin Nuruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM representing TM One. Also present to witness the ceremony was Tan Sri Dato' Sri Hamad Kama Piah bin Che Othman, Group Chairman, UMW Holdings Berhad and Rosli bin Man, Chairman, TM.
Through this partnership, TM One and UMW will embark on joint research activities to enable the development of a home-grown Industrial IoT (Internet of Things) platform through the integration of UMW's IoT solution on industrial machines with TM One's IoT Software Platform.

UMW and TM One will co-develop an IoT-based digital solutions using respective expertise of the partners; UMW in mechanical machines, IoT sensors and control systems and TM One with its IoT software and analytics. These solutions will be made accessible via the platform's dashboard for UMW's IoT-enabled equipment and machineries such as generators, compressors, pumps, turbines and others which will benefit multiple industries such as Energy and Utilities, Transportation, Real Estate, Commercial and Public Sectors amongst others.
The eventual combined UMW-TM IoT solution will provide remote access to machines through real-time monitoring and management system as well as optimise asset management including fleet management, energy management, utilisation and disaster management.
Through this collaboration, both parties will leverage on each other's strengths to create greater value and support the growth of Malaysia's technological capabilities.

Reinforces its leading role in business process outsourcing industry in Malaysia TM One, the business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) was recently awarded the international standard ISO 18295-1:2017 certification, making it the first Telco in Malaysia being awarded with the certification in Malaysia. The certification award was introduced by International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) in 2017, specifically on service requirements for customer contact centres (CCC). In Malaysia, the certification was conducted by the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) QAS International Sdn Bhd. Nizam Arshad, Vice President, Business Technology, TM One accepted the certificate from YB Dr. Ong Kian Ming, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry in the presence of Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, Chairman of SIRIM. Commenting on the certification, Ir. Ts. Azizi A. Hadi, Executive Vice President, TM One said: “The ISO 18295-1:2017 certification marks another milestone for TM One. It is a testament of our expertise as well as dedication to constantly evolve and improve our processes and services to meet the highest international standards. We will continue to strive for excellence in our contact center operations and reinforce our leading role in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry in Malaysia.” The ISO 18295-1:2017 qualification is applicable to both in-house and outsourced (third party operator) CCCs of all sizes, across all sectors and all interaction channels, including inbound and outbound. It specifies the performance metrics (in the form of Key Performance Indicators – KPIs) as and where required. To ensure preservation and compliance to the certification, TM One will continuously conduct its own internal audits on quarterly basis as well as a yearly external audit exercise. “For our customers, the certification means that they can be assured of the service level satisfaction and improved customer experience. TM One securing trust in digital transactions via blockchain technology for Indonesian market
PT VADS Indonesia to become the sole distributor of FNSV Blockchain Secure Authentication (BSA) products and solutions for the Indonesian market. The strategic partnership affirms TM One's commitment and readiness to take the digital transformation of enterprise and public sector forward for Malaysia and Indonesia. TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), together with PT VADS Indonesia, a wholly subsidiary company of TM ONE, recently inked a business agreement with FNS Value Co., Limited (FNSV) from Korea, to appoint PT VADS as the sole distributor of Blockchain Secure Authentication (BSA) solution for the Indonesian market. The signing ceremony was conducted virtually and the documents were signed using TM One Digital Signature Solution (TMODS). It is a certified online signing platform, compliant to Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Digital Signature Act 1997, making the document legally-binding and recognised by Malaysian court of law. Signing on behalf TM One was Ahmad Taufek Omar, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of TM One and PT VADS was represented by Saravanan Belusami, Chief Executive Officer of PT VADS while FNSV was represented by JEON Seung Ju, its Chief Executive Officer.
