TM One Cloud Alpha ready to accelerate public sector digital transformation as MyDIGITAL's sole local cloud service provider

Following the recent appointment of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) as the sole Malaysian Cloud Service Provider (CSP) under the MyDIGITAL – Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL) together with the appointed Managed Service Provider (MSP), its enterprise and public sector business arm, TM One has announced its readiness to serve the public sector with its end-to-end cloud infrastructure and services, Cloud α (pronounced as Cloud Alpha).
The announcement of the appointment was made by YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Muhyiddin Haji Mohd Yassin, Prime Minister of Malaysia at the virtual launch of MyDIGITAL on Friday.
TM, via TM One, has its own state-of-the-art core Data Centres and Cloud infrastructure equipped with full data residency, locality and sovereignty in Malaysia.
Commenting on the appointment, Ahmad Taufek Omar, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of TM One said, “We would like to congratulate the Government for this milestone MyDIGITAL blueprint. TM collaborates with Huawei to accelerate digital transformation of enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its business solutions arm, TM ONE, recently inked a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Huawei. This MoC is in pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between TM and Huawei in March 2018 which outlined the various initiatives between the Parties to promote innovation, develop go-to-market strategies, enhance skills and capabilities as well as to improve each other's products and services. As both TM ONE and Huawei intend to play a more proactive developmental role in providing ready infrastructure and ecosystem to support the nation's growth, specifically to further address digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia, this collaboration would allow both companies to further accelerate the upcoming digital transformation era amongst Malaysians by leveraging on the combined strengths and capabilities of each other. TM One Smart Healthcare solutions to enhance digital patient experience at Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care
Malaysia’s first healthcare provider to leverage TM One Smart Patient Suite solution TM One, the enterprise and government sector solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (“RSDH”) to collaborate on Smart Healthcare and other business solutions for the RSDH group of hospitals. The MoU was signed by Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President of TM One, and Peter Hong, Group Chief Executive Officer, RSDH. Aimed at improving patient experience and enabling innovative transformation for essential in-patient services, the collaboration marks the first in Malaysia to leverage TM One’s Smart Patient Suite solution, by harnessing the power of the Internet of Things (IoT) to provide automation and surround control. Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President, TM One said, “We are honoured to be working with RSDH to serve as the enabler of their next advantage today and tomorrow, bringing Malaysian healthcare and digital progress for all. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), will empower healthcare providers with data and analytics to improve the quality of patient care while maximising operational efficiency,” added Shazurawati. This two-year collaboration with RSDH follows the launch of TM One’s Sphere Programme, which brings together Malaysia’s leading technology and smart solution partners to create an ecosystem that will help springboard enterprise and government sector innovative transformation. TM ONE-USIM COLLABORATION TO ENHANCE UNIVERSITY’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND IMPROVE DIGITAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES
TM One, the business-to-business arm of TM, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) for a strategic partnership to enhance the university’s digital transformation and improve student experiences in digital learning. Officiated on 6 March, the MOU was signed by Professor Dato’ Dr. Sharifudin Md. Shaarani, Vice Chancellor of USIM and Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President, TM One. To support USIM’s smart innovation journey, the partnership will be anchored on three (3) pillars, namely: the co-creation of an innovation ecosystem, talent development, and the sharing of insights on higher education and business trends – with the goal of developing USIM into a smart university. Developing these pillars will allow USIM to pave its way towards a more seamless digital learning experience and improve its student experience processes. This includes online examinations, IT integration, security of sensitive data and intellectual property, smart solutions on campus, and end-to-end mobility solutions. Most importantly, this partnership will enable a more collaborative learning approach between USIM’s faculty and students, aligning the university to the needs of today’s global learners.
