TM One conferred best data centre services provider at Telecom Asia Awards 2018
TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), further strengthen its position as the leading digital enabler when it was recognised as the Best Data Centre Services Provider by Telecom Asia at the 21st Telecom Asia Awards held recently in Singapore.
The award was conferred for TM One’s dedication to deliver top-notch data centre infrastructure and best-in-class managed services to its customers.
Edwin Ng Kok En, General Manager, Data Centre and Cloud Business, TM One accepted the awards on behalf of TM during the awards presentation ceremony.

“In the current challenging era that requires advance solutions in support of the digital economy, data collection, storage, analysis and transformation into real customer insights are essential for organisations in order to drive decision making at an unprecedented volume and speed. However, legacy data centre facilities may have limited capabilities to cope with the increasing demand to properly support today's energy-demanding, high-performance big data computing. Hence, many businesses are shifting to commercial and third-party data centre providers such as TM One that has the capability to securely host and manage thousands of servers and petabytes of data in a very cost effective manner,” he further added.
TM One launched its state-of-the-art IPDC located in Nusajaya Technology Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor in November 2017. The IPDC, which has been accredited with Tier-III Constructed Facilities by the Uptime Institute, was designed to fulfil hosting, cloud and IoT requirements of business and enterprise customers as well as public sector in realising their digital transformation. In tandem with the IPDC, the Klang Valley Data Centre (KVDC) which is currently under construction, is set to become TM One’s ‘Twin Core’ and hybrid cloud strategy to enable businesses to realise the full potential of their digital opportunities. TM currently has 11 data centres located across Malaysia, as well as in Hong Kong and the United States.
Marking its 21st anniversary, as the region’s longest running and most prestigious industry award, the Telecom Asia Awards aims to recognise and reward Asia’s premiere service providers and executives in the telecom industry.

TM One-UC Tati collaboration to enhance Terengganu’s tech research and development; enables education equity for students in the state
The Master Services Agreement (MSA) between TM & UC TATI will enable the digital transformation initiatives of this state government university college TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia (TM), has signed a Master Services Agreement (MSA) with University College Terengganu Advanced Technical Institute (UC TATI) to provide high speed managed data and Internet services at its Teluk Kalong Kemaman Campus and Kuala Terengganu City Campus respectively, for the benefit and use by the students, lecturers and staff. The partnership, which includes a complete end-to-end package of both Wide Area Network and Local Area Network effectively enables wireless connectivity throughout the campuses, and is part of the Terengganu-based institution's efforts to enhance its digital research and development field, as well as delighting student experiences post pandemic. In particular, TM One’s high-speed Internet services will support the Terengganu Big Data Institute (BDIT) located at UC TATI to conduct research and activities related to public data for the university college and the Terengganu State Government. With this, TM One enables UC TATI to explore new digital technologies such as Cloud-Based Services, Public Data and Disaster Recovery Centres that will enhance student learning as well as potentially serve the local Government and surrounding communities. General Manager of State Sales for TM One, Jamalullail Mohd said, “This agreement symbolises the strong partnership between TM One and UC TATI to provide next gen connectivity services for more contextual teaching and learning experiences to students. TM One LEAP Summit 2022 poised to advance next-gen enterprise transformation with world-class innovators
TM One’s annual flagship event LEAP Summit returns for a fifth year, anchoring on the theme ‘Enabling Your Next: Innovate and Transform’ TM One, the enterprise and government sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), held its high-impact annual flagship event, LEAP Summit 2022 today, aimed at propelling enterprise innovation and transformation as Malaysian businesses take advantage of the nation’s initial economic recovery. The fifth in its series, LEAP Summit 2022 themed ‘Enabling Your Next: Innovate & Transform’, brought together world-class digital experts and over 200 of Malaysia’s top decision makers to better understand how these leaders could unleash their innovation potential and take their businesses to the next level. Imri Mokhtar, Group Chief Executive Officer of TM, in his welcoming address said that increased customer expectations for digital services and platforms are reshaping how enterprises work and conduct their business. He also explained that in order to keep up with these new trends, enterprises must fast-track their transformation to virtualised cloud-based services, leverage digital networks to modernise legacy processes, accelerate workflow efficiency, and strengthen cybersecurity. TM set to empower educational institution in Penang with dedicated premium network connectivity and smart school system solution
Smart collaboration with Wesley Methodist School Penang International elevates the institution to become the 1st school in Malaysia with an integrated digital lifestyle Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) via its business solutions arm, TM ONE recently signed a Collaboration Agreement with Wesley Methodist School Penang (International) (WMSP(I)) for the deployment and provisioning of TM’s dedicated premium network connectivity namely DOME service. Under the collaboration, TM will also be provisioning TM’s smart school system solution to the school and the total solution includes the School Management System (SMS), Learning Management System (LMS) and School Attendance System (SAS). Kelvin Lee Tsuan Chin, State General Manager of TM Penang and Badrul Hisham Besri, Senior Director - Education & Healthcare, TM ONE signed the Collaboration Agreement on behalf of TM while WMSPI was represented by Dato’ Chin Lean Keat, Chairman of WMSP(I) Board of Management, and Dato’ Jerry Chan Fook Sing, Co-chairman of WMSP(I) Building Committee Task Force.
