Golden touch investment bank appoints TM One as its preferred digital partner
- GTI Bank adopts blockchain technology for enhanced security and efficiency in a bid to provide best-in-class services to its diversified clientele base.
- TM One to provide cloud hosting, cloud managed services, professional services and cybersecurity solutions to support GTI Bank's BlockChain System.
TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Golden Touch Investment Bank Ltd (GTI Bank), for the appointment of TM One as the preferred digital partner to accelerate the bank's digital transformation. Under this partnership, TM One will be providing cloud hosting and cybersecurity services for GTI Bank to digitalise its service offerings for a better customer experience.
The MoU was signed by Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, Founder of GTI Bank, while signing on behalf of TM One was Ahmad Taufek Omar, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of TM One.
At the signing ceremony, Ahmad Taufek said, "TM One is happy to announce this alliance with GTI Bank and ready to deploy our professional and support services, from migration to maintenance of the end-to-end cloud solution. We have the expertise and capabilities to accelerate the digital transformation journey of our enterprise customers across multiple industry verticals, including banking. Our TM One Cloud α (pronounced as Cloud Alpha) and secure, robust cybersecurity capabilities powered by TM's Global Security Operation Centre (GSOCs) are set to support GTI Bank's BlockChain System. This will enable the bank to deliver a simpler, faster and more convenient banking experience to its end customers."

Our cloud solutions hosted on a high resiliency Data Centre, which is globally certified with Uptime Tier III standards, will minimise system downtime and ensure 24x7 business continuity for GTI Bank. This befits our role as the sole Malaysian Cloud Service Provider (CSP) under the MyDIGITAL – Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL)," added Ahmad Taufek.

TM One and UMW sign Memorandum of Intent to embark on co-development of digital solutions for industries in Malaysia

TM ONE COLLABORATES WITH PLANMALAYSIA TO ACCELERATE LOCAL SMART CITIES
KUALA LUMPUR, 29 NOVEMBER 2023 – TM One, the enterprise and government sector business solutions arm of TM, has entered into a collaboration with PLANMalaysia to enable local city councils harness smart innovations and create sustainable, efficient, and connected urban communities. The collaboration is the next phase in TM One’s efforts to accelerate the nation’s smart city aspirations and improve urban living across the country. As part of this collaboration, 29 local councils that were awarded as part of the Malaysia Smart City Recognition Programme during World Town Planning Day 2023, will have access to TM One’s Proof of Concept trials (POCs). Spanning a selection from TM One’s smart services suite, the POCs allow councils to test solutions suited to their localities, enabling them to make empowered decisions in their smart city development efforts. TM ONE-USIM COLLABORATION TO ENHANCE UNIVERSITY’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND IMPROVE DIGITAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES
TM One, the business-to-business arm of TM, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) for a strategic partnership to enhance the university’s digital transformation and improve student experiences in digital learning. Officiated on 6 March, the MOU was signed by Professor Dato’ Dr. Sharifudin Md. Shaarani, Vice Chancellor of USIM and Shazurawati Abd Karim, Executive Vice President, TM One. To support USIM’s smart innovation journey, the partnership will be anchored on three (3) pillars, namely: the co-creation of an innovation ecosystem, talent development, and the sharing of insights on higher education and business trends – with the goal of developing USIM into a smart university. Developing these pillars will allow USIM to pave its way towards a more seamless digital learning experience and improve its student experience processes. This includes online examinations, IT integration, security of sensitive data and intellectual property, smart solutions on campus, and end-to-end mobility solutions. Most importantly, this partnership will enable a more collaborative learning approach between USIM’s faculty and students, aligning the university to the needs of today’s global learners.
