CYBERJAYA, 20 FEBRUARY 2024 – TM One is proud to announce the launch of its Innovation Lab and Enterprise 5G Lab, designed to accelerate the realisation of ground-breaking digital services and solutions. These initiatives cater to the unique needs of Malaysia’s large enterprises and Government sector, fostering innovation and empowering digital growth opportunities for TM, its valued customers, partners and society.

Officiated by Minister of Digital, YB Gobind Singh Deo, both labs will serve as hubs to bring together the latest technologies, digital leaders and inspiring ideas. It provides a secure, collaborative space where TM, its customers and partners can turn ideas into tailor-made solutions, creating opportunities in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Located at the state-of-the-art TM Digital Academy in Multimedia University, the Labs are the next in TM One’s continuous efforts to build collaborative ecosystems to drive equitable digital progress. Complementing this initiative is TM One’s 5G Sphere Partnership Programme, with partnerships with over 50 local and global entities to support the co-creation of new innovations. TM One’s Sandbox further provides a secure operational test-bed environment for these partners and customers to develop customised solutions. 

Both Labs enable:

1.    Immersive Engagement: Beyond showcases, organisations will experience first-hand how TM One innovates solutions and delivers expertise for their specific needs. By experiencing potential solutions in action, customers can better grasp the implications and advantages to their own operations.

2.    Dialogue & Knowledge Sharing: Having initial prototypes will encourage a deeper exchange of insights by various ecosystem players including TM One’s 5G Sphere partners, and other industry experts.

3.    Accelerated Decision-Making: Live use-cases and knowledge sharing help expedite decision-making processes, empowering customers to make informed choices confidently. The Innovation Lab helps decision-makers address hurdles or uncertainties they may have about new technologies or services.

Unifi TV kickstarts 2023 offerings with addition of popular beIN SPORTS 2, Moonbug Kids and one premium channels

Unifi, a leader in converged home, mobile and lifestyle services via its digital content arm, Unifi TV, today announced three new premium channels via partnerships with leading content providers – beIN Asia Pacific; Moonbug Entertainment, a subsidiary of Candle Media; and Korea’s KC Global Media.   Starting February 2023, viewers will be able to enjoy these popular channels via their Unifi TV subscriptions: beIN SPORTS 2 – featuring top-tier European football, international tennis competitions and most recently, full Formula 1 coverage; Moonbug Kids – designed for families with pre-school children; and ONE – for fans of the latest Korean drama and entertainment.   Two of the three new channels, Moonbug Kids and ONE will also be available for free preview throughout the whole of February for both existing and new Unifi TV subscribers.   This brings Unifi TV’s channel offerings to a whopping 71 premium channels, along with 17 app partners including Disney+ Hotstar, Viu, WeTV and Lionsgate Play – the largest selection of streaming apps over a single platform.   Ho Hock Doong, Head of Content, Unifi TV said, “We are excited to partner beIN Asia Pacific, Moonbug Entertainment, and KC Global Media in bringing their popular channels to Unifi TV and to provide more quality offerings to our local audiences.   “At the end of 2022, Digital Market Insights projected that Malaysia’s Home Entertainment revenue was expected to reach an annual growth rate (CAGR 2022-2027) of 8.36%, with a projected market volume of US$48.57 million and 1.1 million active users by 2027.   “With these prospects in mind, we are strengthening our partnerships with leading global content providers to offer an inclusive selection of digital entertainment solutions – bringing Unifi’s ‘all-in-one’ value proposition to all audiences,” he added.     beIN SPORTS 2 will join the line-up of three existing beIN SPORTS channels as well as the beIN SPORTS CONNECT app already available on Unifi TV, offering the widest live sports coverage from beIN SPORTS in Malaysia. TM GLOBAL EXPANDS DATA CENTRES IN CYBERJAYA AND JOHOR TO STRENGTHEN NATION’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 NOVEMBER 2024 – TM Global, TM’s wholesale business arm, will expand its Klang Valley Data Centre (KVDC) in Cyberjaya and Iskandar Puteri Data Centre (IPDC) in Johor, addressing the growing demand for domestic and international data hosting services.  This is the next phase in TM’s strategic roadmap to grow its infrastructure ecosystem and position Malaysia as a preferred digital hub in Southeast Asia, aligning with its aspiration to become a Digital Powerhouse by 2030. These expansions and TM’s partnership with Nxera to develop a new, hyperconnected, AI-ready data centre, lays the foundation for digital services such as cloud, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.  Scheduled for commercial operations in 2025, the second phase of both KVDC and IPDC will deliver a combined IT load of about 20MW. The expansion will meet Uptime Institute’s Tier-III standards, and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver rating for long-term sustainability, a globally recognised green building certification. Khairul Liza Ibrahim, TM Global’s Executive Vice President, said, “KVDC and IPDC are integral infrastructures in Malaysia’s digital ecosystem, serving as international gateways and interconnected points to support 5G networks. This second phase of our data centre expansion will feature sustainable designs, boosting our capacity to support hyperscalers, OTT players, cloud and next generation AI providers, as well as enterprises.”  TM Global’s data centres are complemented by seven regional Edge Facilities located throughout the country. These support high-performance computing and co-location services to bring content closer to end-users with minimal latency. “We have further enhanced our data hosting services with a recent acquisition of the Facilities-based Operator license in Singapore, allowing us to provide seamless, secure data centre-to-data centre connectivity through our extensive domestic fibre optics network and international submarine cable systems. This enables us to meet the growing connectivity demands across the region, linking data centres from Thailand to Malaysia, Singapore, and Batam in Indonesia,” Khairul Liza emphasised. TM’s All-In-One Digital Solutions With Geran Digital PMKS Madani To Accelerate MSME Digitalisation

Kuala Lumpur, 25 October 2023 - Unifi Business is set to accelerate local MSME digitalisation through Geran Digital PMKS Madani (GDPM).
