unifi, the premier Convergence brand under Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today raises the bar for Malaysia’s high-speed broadband service with the unveiling of its new plans. unifi today announced upgrade plans for existing unifi Home customers to up to 800Mbps, with upgrade plans for new sign-ups scheduled for early next year. Also announced is an affordable 30Mbps broadband-only unifi plan exclusive for households with income of less than RM4,500 per month. Included also are upgrade plans for Streamyx (pre-unifi) customers to unifi in coverage areas or double the speed in non-coverage areas and the popular unlimited unifi Mobile postpaid plan, exclusive for its broadband customers.

We will lead the charge to realise the digital economy and accelerating digital-led innovation with what we do best - providing the best high speed broadband services at affordable prices and best value  in the country.

TM is set to turbo-boost Malaysia’s regional broadband standing starting 15 August 2018 when existing unifi Home customers enjoying broadband, phone and content services will be upgraded in phases up to 10 times the current broadband speed at the same monthly subscription. For example, an existing 30Mbps unifi Home customer will be upgraded up to 300Mbps whilst a 100Mbps unifi Home customer will be upgraded up to 800Mbps. Customers who have yet to sign up as a unifi Home customer are encouraged to subscribe to any existing unifi plan before 31 December 2018 to enjoy the speed upgrade in phases beginning 2019. Not yet unifi customers are encouraged to sign-up to existing plan via unifi.com.my for a hassle-free and faster service.

unifi Basic, exclusive for households with income of RM4,500 and below, is a broadband-only plan at 30Mbps with a 60GB monthly usage quota, offering greater affordability at RM79 per month - more than 50% lower than the current 30Mbps unifi Home plan. unifi Basic is available exclusively online at unifi.com.my/unifi-basic and will be available starting 15 August 2018. Pre-orders open from 15 July 2018. Another affordable broadband offering already available today is unifi Wireless broadband at RM79 per month, for customers looking for a hassle-free home broadband. 

Imri Mokhtar, Executive Vice President, unifi said, “We are committed to serving all our broadband customers better, including our loyal and patient Streamyx customers who are asking for a faster broadband service. Part of our ongoing broadband improvement initiative is to upgrade more than 340,000 Streamyx customers located in unifi coverage areas to unifi. For Streamyx customers who are currently not in a unifi area, we are committed to continuously invest in the best of both fixed and wireless technologies to bring them high speed broadband. In the meantime, we shall double the Streamyx speed they are subscribing to today. More than 350,000 Streamyx customers are expected to enjoy faster broadband very soon.”

“Though the broadband plans unveiled today are primarily for home customers, we certainly have not forgotten our SME customers. Exciting plans will be announced soon for all our SME customers nationwide,” added Imri.

In addition to the various broadband plans, the unlimited unifi Mobile postpaid plan promises a peace of mind experience with its calls, data connectivity and messaging at a promotional price of RM99 per month. This plan will be available from 15 July 2018 exclusive for its existing broadband customers – both, unifi and Streamyx customers.

TM extends ‘JASA Pack’ unifi mobile plan to all PDRM officers & staff to support their digital lifestyle

TM launches first phase of 5G services for unifi mobile customers and businesses

Strengthening Unifi’s fixed-mobile convergence offering, TM aims to deliver seamless 5G transition and spur Malaysia’s 5G adoption and digital capabilities ​Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM” or “the Group”) is uniquely positioned to accelerate Malaysia’s 5G adoption, as the Group leverages its convergence leadership in delivering seamless fixed and mobile services to customers and businesses. Following the signing of DNB’s Access Agreement on 30 October 2022, TM launched the first phase of its 5G services today, offering unlimited 5G data to existing Unifi Mobile Postpaid customers, as well as new Postpaid and Prepaid customers. “DNB’s Access Agreement provides a level playing field for telcos to access the single 5G network equally, to deliver a wider range of innovative services,” said Imri Mokhtar, TM’s Group CEO. “Leveraging this equal entry into 5G plus our current suite of connectivity and digital solutions, TM will be better placed to drive innovation and digital transformation at a national level, aligning with key digital programmes such as JENDELA and MyDigital to competitively position Malaysia as a technology hub.”   “5G will reinforce TM’s leadership in fixed-mobile converged services for our consumer and MSME segments, strengthening our mobile capabilities to provide the widest and fastest all-in-one solution for fixed broadband, mobile service and digital content that meets today’s digital lifestyles and workstyles,” Imri added. New Solutions Set to Elevate Internet Experience of Malaysians ​​​​​On the back of the recent announcement to further increase the overall coverage and internet quality of the nation, unifi, the premier Convergence brand under Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today brings another #khabarbaik to its Streamyx customers. At the event, unifi unveiled unifi Air - its latest wireless high-speed broadband service - as one of many solutions to elevate the internet experience of existing Streamyx customers who reside in its LTE coverage areas. Meanwhile, existing Streamyx customers who are eagerly waiting to experience higher broadband speed will be migrated to unifi Lite starting September 2019. The app comes with features like 24-hour installation, 24-hour live chat support, zero no show assurance and more convenient payment options. In addition, myunifi app is enhanced with ‘digitalme’, a secured digital ID to facilitate the single sign-on not only to myunifi app, but also to the unifi.com.my portal and soon; other unifi apps as well. The myunifi app is now available for free and downloadable via Google PlayStore and Apple AppStore TM through unifi, has completed its internet upgrade programme in April 2019 with 973,000 unifi customers upgraded to 10 times the existing speed; 266,000 Streamyx customers in unifi coverage areas upgraded to unifi and 226,000 Streamyx customers in non-unifi coverage areas upgraded to 2 times existing speed where technology permits. unifi remains committed to address the copper network challenges via various technologies such as fibre, wireless and GigaWire in a network rollout which will involve a phased customer migration starting today until 2021.
