TM INITIATED INTERNAL INVESTIGATION PRIOR TO DOJ ACTION INVOLVING FORMER TM USA EMPLOYEES
Telekom Malaysia (“TM”, “the Company”) is aware of reports concerning certain former employees of TM USA Inc.
These individuals are no longer employed by the Company. The Company had earlier initiated its own investigation pursuant to suspicion of misconduct by the individuals, which led to their dismissal. Information from the investigation was then shared with the relevant authorities. The matter is currently under the purview of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the US Court. The Company will continue to extend its full cooperation to the DOJ.
TM upholds strict governance and compliance standards and does not tolerate any form of misconduct.

TM and Telin collaborate to enable opportunities and enhanced experience for the region’s digital ecosystem
TM Wholesale, the wholesale domestic and international business arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and Telin, a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia, Tbk (Telkom), have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strategically collaborate and jointly explore opportunities on subsea cable business arrangements. The signing ceremony was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai recently, where TM was represented by Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Executive Vice President of TM Wholesale and Telin was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Budi Satria Dharma Purba (Budi). This new partnership will further strengthen the Business to Business (B2B) relationship between the two parties and broaden the collaboration while continuing to provide their customers with reliable, diversified and uninterrupted connectivity solutions. Commenting on the partnership, Amar Huzaimi Md Deris, Executive Vice President of TM Wholesale said, "TM Wholesale is committed to deliver greater reachability and resilient connectivity to our customers. This collaboration allows us to gain immediate submarine capacity in response to the growing demand for high bandwidth services. It also gives us more diverse connections and alternative routes connecting Malaysia to the rest of the world, while optimising our existing submarine capacity. Additionally, it will enable us to begin exploring the most cost-effective approach for future submarine cable investment projects that will benefit both parties and this region." TM NXERA ACHIEVES NEW HEIGHTS WITH TOPPING-OUT CEREMONY FOR AI-READY DATA CENTRE IN JOHOR
Iskandar Puteri, 16 April 2026 – TM Nxera, the joint venture between Telekom Malaysia (TM) and Nxera, Singtel Digital InfraCo’s regional data centre arm, celebrated the topping-out of its AI-ready, hyperconnected data centre in Iskandar Puteri, Johor – a development set to power Malaysia’s next phase of AI-driven growth and strengthen its role as a regional digital hub.The ceremony signifies the completion of the first building’s structural framework, a decisive step forward in the construction and systems integration phase. Since groundbreaking in July 2024 and securing a multi-year electricity supply agreement with Tenaga Nasional for 280MW of power earlier this year, the data centre is now entering the customer onboarding and commercial operations stage.Mahathir Said, CEO of TM Nxera, said, “Today’s topping-out ceremony reflects our strong execution as we move toward delivering the first building of our campus, with scalability up to 200MW, making it one of the largest AI-ready campuses in Malaysia. Aiming for Power Usage Effectiveness of ≤1.30 at full load, advanced liquid cooling technologies and renewable energy integration, the data centre is optimised for demanding high compute and ultra-low latency AI workloads, enabling enterprises to deploy AI at-scale.” “Backed by TM and Singtel’s extensive cross-border terrestrial fibre and subsea connectivity, the campus is engineered to support hyperscalers, AI innovators and enterprises seeking resilient, high‑performance and sustainable data centre solutions. The campus remains on track to begin its first phase of commercial operations by the second half of 2026, enabling customers to plan cloud and AI deployments with confidence.
