TM One unveils its latest state-of-the-art Klang Valley Core Data Centre
The new data centre completes TM One’s Twin Core Data Centre to serve Malaysia’s digital needs
TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today officially unveiled its latest data centre – Klang Valley Core Data Centre (KVDC) in a tour session specially for members of the media. The KVDC, located at the global technology hub of Cyberjaya, completes TM One's Twin Core Data Centre after the launch of the Iskandar Puteri Core Data Centre (IPDC) in Nusajaya, Technology Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor back in November 2017.
Present at the event were Ir. Ts Azizi A. Hadi, Chief Executive Officer, TM One; Mohd Roslan Mohd Rashidi, Vice President, Sales, TM One; Nizam Arshad, Chief Technology Officer, TM Oneand TM One's management line-up.
Speaking at the event, Ir. Ts. Azizi said, "At TM One, we are always committed to our role in realising Malaysia's Digital Nation aspirations, enabling Digital Society, Digital Economy and Digital Government through Connectivity and Digital Infrastructure, in line with TM's vision, "Making Life and Business Easier, for a better Digital Malaysia". It is therefore our pleasure to announce that with the official opening of this KVDC, our Twin Core Data Centre is ready for service. We are fully aware that businesses nowadays are becoming increasingly dynamic and aggressively adopting digital in their operations. Our state-of-the-art core data centres are purposely designed to fulfill the hosting, cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) requirements of business and enterprise customers, as well as the public sector, towards facilitating their digital transformation journey."
The KVDC is a carrier-neutral and green data centre, that serves as a regional hub in providing high value managed services. These include cloud computing, virtualisation, workspace and collaboration services, as well as high-speed broadband connectivity to cater for enterprise and business customers particularly in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
"This KVDC is certified by the Uptime Institute as Tier III in design and in constructed facility, apart from being certified as Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (TVRA), ISO 27001 and Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliant. These certifications demonstrate TM One's unparalleled service quality and uncompromised security standards that will enable us to enhance our customers' business productivity and market competitiveness," Ir. Ts. Azizi added.
Through the Twin Core Data Centre, TM One is positioning itself as a comprehensive Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services provider, delivering value added services on top of the Data Centre facility service.
Meanwhile, TM One also announced the launch of TM One Azure Stack, a hybrid cloud solution which offers a platform that focuses on delivering the innovative Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) via Microsoft Azure Stack technology, and is operated in TM One's Twin Core Data Centre.
To date, TM One has 12 data centres located across Malaysia, including in Hong Kong and the United States.

TM ONE REINFORCES COMMITMENT TO ENABLING MELAKA'S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ASPIRATIONS
KUALA LUMPUR & MELAKA, 30 DECEMBER 2024 – TM One, TM’s enterprise and government sector solutions arm, has reinforced its commitment to enabling Melaka’s digital and sustainable development through various collaborations with local agencies. Working with Majlis Perbandaran Alor Gajah (MPAG) and Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB), TM One is deploying digital solutions to support the state’s economic growth, public services, and aspirations to become a model smart city. TM One also recently welcomed Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh, Melaka’s Chief Minister, to the TM Response Centre Melaka, one of three facilities that supports emergency responses across Malaysia. The Centre is staffed by over 150 personnel who manage emergency response calls 24/7, ensuring quality control, technical support, and data management. Handling over a million calls every month, the Centre serves as a critical national infrastructure that connects citizens with emergency responders, reinforcing public safety and security. Shazurawati Abd Karim, TM One’s Executive Vice President, said “The Chief Minister’s visit to TM’s Response Centre and our strategic partnerships with MPAG and SAMB underscore TM One’s expanded role in Melaka’s digitalisation journey. Leveraging the Open Innovation Platform (OIP) and a range of digital tools including Workflow and Job Assignment Software, the solution enables efficient task allocation and tracking for improved metering, restoration, and contractor management. Customised workforce monitoring devices further provide real-time data capture and reporting from on-site locations, improving operational visibility and safety. Additionally, high-speed mobile connectivity supports communication and coordination, ensuring swift task completion and better service quality. Shazurawati concluded, “Our partnership with SAMB highlights the transformative power of technology in essential services, improving efficiency through swift, coordinated responses to critical tasks. TM collaborates with Huawei to accelerate digital transformation of enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) through its business solutions arm, TM ONE, recently inked a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) with Huawei. This MoC is in pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between TM and Huawei in March 2018 which outlined the various initiatives between the Parties to promote innovation, develop go-to-market strategies, enhance skills and capabilities as well as to improve each other's products and services. As both TM ONE and Huawei intend to play a more proactive developmental role in providing ready infrastructure and ecosystem to support the nation's growth, specifically to further address digital transformation opportunities in the enterprise and public sectors in Malaysia, this collaboration would allow both companies to further accelerate the upcoming digital transformation era amongst Malaysians by leveraging on the combined strengths and capabilities of each other. The MoC was signed by both companies during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019.
