TM One unveils its latest state-of-the-art Klang Valley Core Data Centre
The new data centre completes TM One’s Twin Core Data Centre to serve Malaysia’s digital needs
TM One, the enterprise and public sector business solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), today officially unveiled its latest data centre – Klang Valley Core Data Centre (KVDC) in a tour session specially for members of the media. The KVDC, located at the global technology hub of Cyberjaya, completes TM One's Twin Core Data Centre after the launch of the Iskandar Puteri Core Data Centre (IPDC) in Nusajaya, Technology Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor back in November 2017.
Present at the event were Ir. Ts Azizi A. Hadi, Chief Executive Officer, TM One; Mohd Roslan Mohd Rashidi, Vice President, Sales, TM One; Nizam Arshad, Chief Technology Officer, TM Oneand TM One's management line-up.
Speaking at the event, Ir. Ts. Azizi said, "At TM One, we are always committed to our role in realising Malaysia's Digital Nation aspirations, enabling Digital Society, Digital Economy and Digital Government through Connectivity and Digital Infrastructure, in line with TM's vision, "Making Life and Business Easier, for a better Digital Malaysia". It is therefore our pleasure to announce that with the official opening of this KVDC, our Twin Core Data Centre is ready for service. We are fully aware that businesses nowadays are becoming increasingly dynamic and aggressively adopting digital in their operations. Our state-of-the-art core data centres are purposely designed to fulfill the hosting, cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) requirements of business and enterprise customers, as well as the public sector, towards facilitating their digital transformation journey."
The KVDC is a carrier-neutral and green data centre, that serves as a regional hub in providing high value managed services. These include cloud computing, virtualisation, workspace and collaboration services, as well as high-speed broadband connectivity to cater for enterprise and business customers particularly in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
"This KVDC is certified by the Uptime Institute as Tier III in design and in constructed facility, apart from being certified as Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (TVRA), ISO 27001 and Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliant. These certifications demonstrate TM One's unparalleled service quality and uncompromised security standards that will enable us to enhance our customers' business productivity and market competitiveness," Ir. Ts. Azizi added.
Through the Twin Core Data Centre, TM One is positioning itself as a comprehensive Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services provider, delivering value added services on top of the Data Centre facility service.
Meanwhile, TM One also announced the launch of TM One Azure Stack, a hybrid cloud solution which offers a platform that focuses on delivering the innovative Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) via Microsoft Azure Stack technology, and is operated in TM One's Twin Core Data Centre.
To date, TM One has 12 data centres located across Malaysia, including in Hong Kong and the United States.

Employees of TM at Menara TM One, Damansara and Kepayan, Kota Kinabalu tested positive for Covid-19
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) confirms two (2) positive cases of Covid-19 amongst its employees. One of the affected employees is based at Menara TM One in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur and the other is at its Kepayan office in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Both employees are currently under quarantine and receiving treatment at Government quarantine and medical facilities. TM management and staff are together praying for their speedy recovery. TM has taken proactive measures to mitigate further spread of the virus and keep our customers, staff and communities safe. At Menara TM One, all occupants were immediately evacuated and the office building closed for seven (7) days to facilitate thorough disinfection and sanitisation in accordance to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MoH). TM offices in Sabah, Kedah and other Red Zone areas had been closed much earlier as proactive precaution in correspondence to the increasing cases recently. Following these two new positive cases, detailed contact tracing is being carried out by the MoH, assisted by TM's COVID-19 Crisis Response Team (CRT), to identify and inform those whom had close contact with the affected employees. Identified close contacts are being contacted by MoH for further advice and action. In ensuring continued services to our customers, TM employees at the affected states and areas have reverted back to Work From Home (WFH) arrangement utilising digital channels and online productivity tools. Meanwhile, critical function employees (contact centre, field teams for service installation and restoration) shall continue working in compliance to Government and TM's added safety protocols and guidelines. TM would like to remind everyone at all times to keep safe social distance, hygiene and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as advised by the Government. TM has taken and will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and community.

TM ONE COLLABORATES WITH PLANMALAYSIA TO ACCELERATE LOCAL SMART CITIES
KUALA LUMPUR, 29 NOVEMBER 2023 – TM One, the enterprise and government sector business solutions arm of TM, has entered into a collaboration with PLANMalaysia to enable local city councils harness smart innovations and create sustainable, efficient, and connected urban communities. The collaboration is the next phase in TM One’s efforts to accelerate the nation’s smart city aspirations and improve urban living across the country. As part of this collaboration, 29 local councils that were awarded as part of the Malaysia Smart City Recognition Programme during World Town Planning Day 2023, will have access to TM One’s Proof of Concept trials (POCs). Spanning a selection from TM One’s smart services suite, the POCs allow councils to test solutions suited to their localities, enabling them to make empowered decisions in their smart city development efforts. Shazurawati Abd Karim, TM One’s Executive Vice President said, “TM One has always been at the forefront of enabling the country’s smart city initiatives, helping councils nationwide push the boundaries of urban living through smart innovations. Among our recent success stories were Smart City projects in Ipoh, Pengerang, Seberang Prai, Kulai, Port Dickson and Subang Jaya, which experienced reduced time in traffic, lower carbon emissions, and improved response efficiency through solutions such as TM One’s Smart Traffic Management and Smart Surveillance.” Building on these successes, TM One will be offering POCs for the following services: 1. Unified Enforcement System – automation and insight analysis of various local council operation enforcement services that help local councils manage larger communities better; 2. Smart City App – a one stop app for local councils’ e-government services; and 3. Smart Workforce – a system that helps local councils manage field teams in real-time. These services will help councils in their journey towards becoming full-fledged smart cities, as well as improve overall efficiency in their operations and services to their communities. “Through these POCs, we aim to help the government implement Smart Services in more locations, bringing these technologies closer to everyday Malaysians and improving their way of life.
